Tiny: The Miracle Bunny

We put in our garden this last weekend. I was tilling and all of a sudden this tiny little bunny came flopping out of the ground through the tiller tines. It was a miracle that we didn't kill it. We must have run over the burrow. Natalie named her Tiny, because she is so. We but her under a hosta and now her Mom stands guard next to her all day long.

 
 

TREK 100

Nicky's new years resolution is complete. We were truly inspired by the incredible generosity of our good friends and family. Nicky and I together were able to raise over $1,200 towards the fight against childhood cancer. We had a great ride despite the thunderstorms, hail and flat tires. We even got to catch a glimpse of Lance Armstrong. We rode with over 3,500 other riders. It took us about 6.5 hours of riding time and 8 hours alltogether with rest stops, lunch and ... breaks for the hail, etc. It was a great time, we would invite you to do it with us next year. Cold Day at Wrigley

I went to Wrigley Field on Wednesday with a couple of friends from church. It could not have been a worse day for baseball. Imagine the worst possible weather you can think of where they would still play the game. Windy, but not blowing the shingles off, rainy, but not enought to puddle significantly, cold but not cold enough to snow. I have not been that cold in a long time. But we had a good time

Coloring Easter Eggs

Sunday Morning: One hour with a one year old.

Nicky had meetings this morning before church so I had the girls. I was called into the kitchen this morning by Natalie saying "Daaaaad, Audrey's in trouble" ANd I came in to find her standing on the Kitchen table. She had crawled onto the chair and then onto the table. She is such a climber. Then I found her hiding in the coat closet with her hat on. Finally I was getting Audrey dressed and let her run around with just her tights on, next thing I know Natalie comes running out with her shirt off and tights on. My two little baryshnikovs.

Guitar Hero

Nicky's new favorite past-time is Guitar Hero. For those of you who have not yet been introduced, it is a guitar playing video game. I left the red eye in on Nicky, because it more accurately portrays her passion for the game.

ARIZONA

We just returned from week in Arizona visiting Ashley, Ethan and Logan. It was a great week filled with Sun, Baseball, Cacti, and Sun. Go to our web album for more pictures.

The Lizzard

We kept saying that a Blizzard is coming and Natalie thought we were saying Lizzard. So she kept going to the window and watching for the Lizzard and asking if the Lizzard was here yet. Church was canceled in anticipation; we were supposed to get 12 inches of snow. We got quite a load of snow, but not as much as was predicted. It turned to rain Sunday morning and made for very heavy shoveling. Thankfully our neighbors have the mother of all snow blowers. Audrey has a new favorite face...”the scowl.”

Short and Sweet

Nicky got her haircut. It looks great. I love it, but I am biased, I have a love affair with her hair. There is also a striking resemblance to Poppins herself.

Dinner with Adam and Jayna

We had a great dinner with Adam and Jayna in Chicago for Nicky's big three-oh. Josh has been friends with Adam since second grade. Jayna is expecting in April-congrats!
