Indestructible Swingset

A tree fell down in the backyard this week after a heavy rain. It smashed though the fence and landed on the swingset. Luckily we built the swingset to withstand and F5 tornado so it didn't even notice that a tree had fallen on it. Nice craftsmanship Dad!

Tricycle

Natalie learned how to pedal her tricycle this week. She rides up and down the sidewalk, and up and down the sidewalk, and up and down the sidewalk, and up and down the sidewalk... You get the picture.

Chicago White Sox

We took a trip down to Chicago on Wednesday night to watch the White sox beat up on the Cardinals 13-5. It was a great game! Pete was able to get us tickets from a friend of his. They were wonderful seats in the premium terrace level with a special air conditioned/carpeted concourse. We had a waiter come to our seat to take our order for our food. It was a great way to watch a ball game, padded seats and everything. US cellular field is a very nice stadium. So we have one more down on our goal to visit all the major league parks. Natalie is a chip off the old block and loves baseball already, although her favorite park was the mascot, we'll have to work on that.

Our last week

We had Sarah, Jeremy, Tori and Evan Smith come visit us last week. Natalie loved having her friend sleep over, as did Nicky. We spent last weekend in Rockford, IL at a bi-stake youth conference. That was a lot of fun. They did an activity with GPS units called Geocaching. Look it up, it is a lot of fun http://www.geocaching.com/. Audrey is starting to crawl and put everything in her mouth.

The Basement is DONE!

The Basement is now officially done, the summer can now begin. 4 months- 10 gallons of paint -9 recessed lights -500 square feet of carpet and a smashed thumb later it is finally done. Now all we need is some furniture to fill it with. That is what credit cards are for right? You are all invited for the grand opening.

Smell the Dairy-Air

We went to the Wisconsin Rock County Dairy Breakfast this Saturday. It was more than we expected it to be. They put it on every year at a different farm to promote farm life and to show us city-folk where all the food comes from. We had an all-you-can-eat pancake breakfast, cows, ducks, corn-sand box and tractors-tractors-tractors.
