We got the whole gang involved this weekend on the basement and made some good headway. Natalie was a pro at the vacuum, Audrey gave us some great tips on how to be a lounger, and as you can see, we got ALL the sheet rock up on the ceiling! Wahoo!! Now comes the hard part...the mud.
Two cutie girls in some new springy attire. You can see just how proud of a big sister Natalie is. She adores Audrey and Audrey loves attention from Natalie.
We found Natalie in the crib the other day, she had climbed up there all by herself, with noookies. She is still feeling a little jealous of the attention sharing. And some other pictures.
Here are some pictures from our most recent trip back to MPLS. We went to Natalie's friend Hailey's sister's baptism (are you still with me). Natalie had a great time and was so excited to see Hailey. As you can see from the second picture, she really was the life of the party. I think she was hiped up fruit punch. The last picture is of Audrey and Taylor, also two weeks apart, like Natalie and Hailey.
My incredibly handy husband spent some time pouring over his home depot book last week and then put his new electrical knowledge to use in our basement, installing recessed lights. We are dreaming of a cool basement family room with new carpet. surround sound, and all, but for now, as you can see, it is only a construction zone. Josh made me vacuum all the nasty cobwebs after he pulled down the ceiling...YUCK
Here is a before and after of our new dining room light (model included). Ikea special. I was proud of myself. I had to cut a new hole in the ceiling and rewire it. Never done that before. I just glad I didn't fall throught the ceiling when I was crawling in the attic.
Tristan- our dishwasher broke this week, too. It cleaned the dishes just fine, but Nicky didn't like having to put a bucket in the basement every time we turned it on, she can be very picky sometimes. So we had to replace it right away. I think we lost our dishwashing ability because we just couldnt bring ourselves to hand wash. Natalie got the best part of the deal as you can see.
